Pre-doctoral scholar receives dissertation funding from SNRS

Chiao-Hsin Teng, pre-doctoral scholar, was recently funded by the Southern Nursing Research Society to complete her ongoing dissertation research with stroke survivors. Teng’s mixed methods research study examines fatigue after stroke in adults who have been hospitalized for their first ischemic stroke. The qualitative portion of the dissertation includes interviews with both stroke survivors and their care partners. Teng’s dissertation committee includes: Dr. Leslie Davis (chair, UNC-CH), Dr. Ruth Anderson (UNC-CH), Dr. Baiming Zou (UNC-CH), Dr. Ashley Leake Bryant (UNC-CH), Dr. Jia-Rong Wu (from the University of Kentucky), and Dr. Barbara Lutz (from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington).
