Rose Mary Xavier selected as All of Us Research Biomedical Scholar

Congratulations to Rose Mary Xavier, PhD, MS, RN, PMHNP-BC, FAAN, on her acceptance to the third annual All of Us Evenings with Genetics Research Program’s Biomedical Faculty Summit and the All of Us Biomedical Researcher Scholars Program.

The All of Us Biomedical Researcher Scholars Program is a one-year initiative aimed at supporting biomedical researchers who utilize the All of Us Research platform. The program kicked off from May 14-18, 2024, with the Biomedical Faculty Summit at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Xavier expressed her excitement about the opportunity, stating, “I am honored to be selected as an ‘All of Us Research Biomedical Scholar’ this year. The faculty summit was a terrific experience, well-organized and insightful. I connected with many brilliant scientists and am now part of a multidisciplinary team. Over the next year, we will collaborate on a project leveraging the All of Us research platform to address research questions at the intersection of mental health disorders and chronic pain.”

This summit served as a boot camp, bringing together multidisciplinary scholars for learning, networking, and building collaborations. Applicants formed multidisciplinary research teams and received data science training in Python and R, access to the NIH All of Us Researcher Workbench, and support in research project development. They attended professional development sessions covering career guidance, mentoring, and the responsible conduct of research, along with numerous networking and mentoring opportunities.

The program is partially funded by the NIH All of Us Research Program and will support underrepresented biomedical researchers interested in using the NIH All of Us Research Platform.
