Rose Mary Xavier named AANP fellow

The UNC School of Nursing proudly announces that Rose Mary Xavier, PhD, MS, RN, PMHNP-BC, FAAN, has been honored as a 2024 Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP). This recognition places Dr. Xavier among an esteemed group of Nurse Practitioners who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the NP profession.

As a seasoned psychiatric nurse practitioner, Dr. Xavier’s contributions have improved clinical care for the severely mentally ill individuals by generating evidence to improve precision diagnoses and refined treatments. Her leadership efforts in scholarly and educational activities have contributed to improved psychiatry specialty practice.

Dr. Xavier will be formally inducted into the FAANP program alongside 32 other NP leaders at the 2024 AANP National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 27.
