Salomon to Present Abstract of Distinction at 2021 CANS Advanced Methods Conference

Congratulations to Dr. Becky Salomon, PhD, RN, PMHNP-BC, whose poster presentation “Antiracist Symptom Science: A Call to Action and Path Forward” has been selected as an Abstract of Distinction at the 2021 Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS) Advanced Methods Conference. The conference will be held virtually on October 6, 2021.

Dr. Salomon is an alumna of our PhD program and is currently a postdoctoral fellow studying multilevel interventions on our School’s “Interventions for Preventing & Managing Chronic Illness” T32 training grant. Becky recently finished a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California San Francisco where she completed training in symptom science, social determinants of health, and biobehavioral research methods. The work that she will be presenting at the 2021 CANS Conference developed out of a course that she co-instructed at UCSF on “The Role of Social Determinants in Symptoms Experience and Symptom Management.”
