Clinical associate professor Shielda Rodgers appeared in an article published in the University Gazette. The story discusses the town hall meeting held for students, faculty, and staff following the release of the Wainstein Report on October 22.
Dr. Rodgers, PhD, RN, is a well-known advocate for student athletes and during the meeting she reminded her colleagues that the student-atheletes were not the ones who created the problem. “I hope that we can look at all the people with special talents and not say if they hadn’t been admitted in the first place, then we wouldn’t have this problem – let’s not go there,” she said.
