Awarded to Cory Smith, the EdTech Supervisor and Data Analyst in the School of Nursing, the Customer Service Award honors a Staff member who exhibits excellence in assisting others.

Cory, “a jack of all trades who is always super helpful,” was nominated for “her ability to go far above and beyond as she assisted… in getting SON course[s] ready to launch this Fall.” Leading the transition from Sakai to Canvas, Cory “supported faculty and staff to the best of her abilities, and sometimes much more.” Cory “is the gasoline that runs innovation in the School of Nursing, and we are so lucky to have her!”

Lily Aussieker, the SON’s Student Services Manager, received the Effectiveness Award which goes to a Staff member who performs their duties accurately and exhibits excellent follow-through.

Nominated “for her outstanding work developing a new and innovative model for the ABSN, BSN, and MSN/DNP orientations this past cycle,” Lily’s efforts resulted in “our students [being] more prepared, confident, and clear on the enrollment steps and actions needed to be taken prior to the first day of class.” Further, her “innovation and effort led to a highly effective onboarding process for our students, and we are grateful for her work.”
