SON Students administer COVID-19 vaccines to UNC Health Care employees

Several Carolina Nursing students have been administering the new COVID-19 vaccine at UNC Rex Health Care. This is part of phase one of the vaccination effort, intended to vaccinate frontline workers and persons 75 years or older. Supervised by Associate Dean Dr. Louise Flemming and Dr. Marianne Cockcroft, these BSN and ABSN students are giving doses of the new COVID-19 vaccine to UNC Health Care employees.

Thank you to our incredible students for taking part in controlling the pandemic. These pictures give us immense hope for the future, and the impact you will have as registered nurses!

Student vaccinators include: Grace Pickett, Rae Ann Daughtry, Eliana Newkirk, Brianna Reeves, Amelia Chetwynd, Alison Dodge, Lucy Lockamy, Kylie McClure, Shirley Lu, and Gabrielle Grant.
