Congratulations to Stephanie Betancur on being awarded the prestigious Royster Society of Fellows Lyle V. Jones Dissertation Fellowship by the UNC Graduate Schoool. This fellowship is a distinguished recognition of her exceptional scholarship, leadership and potential to make significant contributions to the Royster Society of Fellows.

As a Hillman Scholar and PhD student at the UNC School of Nursing, Stephanie Betancur has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence. Membership in the Royster Society of Fellows will provide her with unique opportunities for travel funding, mentoring, collaborative teaching and engaging in research seminars, further enhancing her scholarly pursuits.

With the support of this fellowship, Stephanie will pursue her dissertation focused on evaluating occupational exposure to antineoplastic drugs among environmental services (EVS) workers employed in oncology settings.

Being selected as a member of the Royster Society of Fellows is considered the highest honor for graduate students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Betancur’s selection for this esteemed fellowship reflects her dedication to advancing nursing research and her promise as a future leader in the field.
