- Diabetes Focus: Innovative care for Individuals with Diabetes

This Center for Lifelong Learning course is a great opportunity for nurses who want to enhance the care they provide for individuals living with diabetes. Our multidisciplinary lineup of speakers–including nurse experts, physicians, pharmacists, and public health professionals–will discuss innovative topics like tailoring care for Hispanic populations, evidence-based educational approaches, and supporting patients making lifestyle changes, as well as the foundational topics of medications and guidelines. The event is the first ceremony of its kind held by the School of Nursing. The event will feature remarks from Interim Dean Donna Havens and a keynote address will presented by Dr. Marilyn H. Oermann, Thelma M. Ingles Professor of Nursing at Duke University. A reception for all guests will follow the ceremony.
