UNC School of Nursing undergraduate program ranks fourth in the nation

U.S. News & World Report has released its 2025 Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program rankings, and Carolina Nursing’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is tied for fourth overall and first among public schools of nursing in the United States.

These rankings are determined by peer assessments from deans and senior faculty members at nursing schools or departments at institutions nationwide that are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Additionally, the institutions must be regionally accredited and have awarded at least 50 BSN degrees, according to 2021-2022 data.

“For the fourth consecutive year, the UNC School of Nursing’s BSN program has ranked among the top five in the nation. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and expertise of our Carolina Nursing faculty, staff and students. The collective effort and excellence of the entire Carolina Nursing community has earned us the top ranking among public schools of nursing this year, and I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished together.”
