Congratulations to Assistant Professor Judith Webb, DNP, ANP-BC, ACHPN, who was appointed to the Provost’s Committee on LGBTQ Life at UNC Chapel Hill last week.
The Committee on LGBTQ Life keeps watch over the campus climate for LGBTQ students, staff, and faculty and reports and makes recommendations regarding experiences of or concerns about harassment based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression.
“Today’s political climate has heightened the concerns of students, staff and faculty who identify as LGBTQ and their allies,” said Webb of her appointment to the committee. “This committee will offer a voice to our community, and I am pleased to serve the university on the Provost’s committee.”
Webb joined the faculty of the UNCSON in February 2016, coming to Chapel Hill by way of Boston, where she was a faculty member and advisor to the LGBTQ student group at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. A clinical assistant professor, Dr. Webb also serves the School through the Office of Inclusive Excellence, where she advises on matters related to the SON’s LGBTQ community.
