Wu and her research team published a paper in one of Nature’s journals

Congratulations to Dr. Grace Wu and her colleagues at the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai published a paper, “What next for eating disorder genetics? Replacing myths with facts to sharpen our understanding,” in one of Nature’s journals, Molecular Psychiatry (impact factor 15.992). Molecular Psychiatry is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Nature Publishing Group. It covers research in biological psychiatry. In this paper, Wu and her colleague discussed what we know about the genetic underpinnings of eating disorders and suggestions for strategies to design more inclusive genetic studies with underrepresented populations around the world. The paper also included a beautiful picture cover that Wu and her team created by Nature’s guidelines to illustrate the concept of eating disorder genetics. This paper was just published on May 20, 2022, but it has already been featured by The Psychiatric Genomics Consortium’s Twitter account (@PGCgenetics) and shared worldwide by many genetic researchers.
