Wu awarded International Society of Nurses in Genetics Research Grant

Congratulations to Assistant Professor Dr. Grace Wu, who was awarded $2,000 through the International Society of Nurses in Genetics (ISONG) Research Grant to conduct a pilot study to expand and culturally adapt a current NIMH-funded genome-wide association study of anorexia nervosa (Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative [EDGI], R01MH120170, PI: Cynthia Bulik) to include Taiwan in line with a call for increased Asian participation in anorexia nervosa genetics. This grant will partially support Dr. Wu to develop and lead an EDGI site in Taiwan by collecting, genotyping, and analyzing phenotypes and genotypes associated with anorexia nervosa among Taiwanese to identify the genetic structure underlying anorexia nervosa in Asians.
