Elizabeth Baldwin, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, RN

Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Elizabeth “Lizzie” Baldwin is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNC School of Nursing. She is a two-time alumna of the UNC School of Nursing, having earned her BSN in 2019 and her DNP in 2023. As a BSN student, Dr. Baldwin participated in the UNC Lineberger-Sylvia Lauterborn Oncology Fellowship. During her time in the DNP program, she was an Elizabeth Scott Carrington Nursing Scholar and, in 2022, received the Tanner Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching by Graduate Assistants.

Dr. Baldwin is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) with a sub-focus in oncology. She brings a wealth of experience from her nursing practice in adult bone marrow transplant and her recent work as a nurse practitioner in palliative care.

Her research interests include enhancing access to advance care planning and advancing nursing education through innovative methods such as AI, VR, and simulation. Dr. Baldwin is passionate about using evidence-based practice to prepare nursing students to improve access to advance care planning and to highlight the critical work nurses do every day in providing comprehensive, compassionate care to those they serve.
