Erin Stanley, DNP, RN, CEN, SANE-A, SANE-P, CCLS is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. Deeply passionate about preparing the next generation of nurses, her teaching focuses on medical-surgical nursing, health assessment, pediatrics, simulation-based learning, and forensic nursing. With clinical expertise as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and extensive experience in emergency nursing, Dr. Stanley integrates trauma-informed care and therapeutic communication into both classroom and clinical education. She is actively engaged in curriculum development, designing innovative simulations and case studies that equip students for the Next Gen NCLEX and contemporary nursing practice. Her scholarship and presentations address critical topics such as human trafficking, suicide risk in survivors of sexual assault, and the role of forensic nursing in emergency care. Dr. Stanley also serves as Treasurer for the North Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Forensic Nurses.
