Dr. Winslow is a nurse with over 16 years of practice experience caring for individuals with cardiovascular disease. She continues to practice in the outpatient cardiac rehabilitation setting. She is a Lecturer for the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice evidence-based project was the initiation and follow-up evaluation of an electronic depression management instrument. Depression is prevalent with patients with cardiovascular disease and a systematic electronic collaborative approach will improved patient outcomes.
