Dr. Krystal Pendergraft-Horne is an Assistant Professor at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing, where she teaches in the pre-licensure BSN and ABSN programs. With more than 15 years of nursing experience—primarily in emergency and acute care—she integrates clinical expertise with innovative, simulation-based teaching strategies. Her scholarly interests include simulation and experiential learning, interprofessional education, and mental health promotion among healthcare providers and students. Dr. Pendergraft-Horne is a Certified Nurse Educator and a Mental Health First Aid instructor dedicated to fostering inclusive, compassionate, and practice-ready future nurses.
