Dr. Marlena Brokob received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from East Carolina University College of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Duke University School of Nursing. She began her nursing career on the Lung Transplant Unit at Duke University Hospital before transitioning to Cancer Nursing at the University of North Carolina Hospital. Since 2022, Dr. Brokob has served as faculty at the University of North Carolina School of Nursing, where she teaches prelicensure BSN students in both clinical and laboratory settings. She also teaches a summer elective course, Caring for Individuals and Families with Cancer, which introduces students to the principles of oncology nursing and holistic cancer care.
