The School of Nursing Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) actively works to promote faculty support through appointment, promotion and review processes, faculty hiring and onboarding, development and training support, performance and retention processes, awards and recognitions, and much more.

Our Faculty Framework

While following the institution’s framework for Faculty Affairs, our SON office strives to meet the specific needs of our unique group of nursing faculty.

In 2024, Carolina Nursing introduced a new organizational structure to better support faculty, staff and students. This change impacted how faculty are managed within the school. Our faculty are now organized into the three divisions below, and leadership acknowledges that many faculty members may belong to two or all three divisions and encourages collaboration across divisions.
