Beeber, ISMICC Hold First Meeting

The Interdepartmental Serious Mental Illness Coordinating Committee held its first meeting in Washington, D.C. on August 31. Our own Linda Beeber, PhD, PMHCNS-BC, FAAN represents nursing on the committee.

Tom Price, MD, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary, gave an opening address that pointed resources toward improving outcomes for people with serious mental illnesses, along with other priorities including obesity and the opioid crisis.

The School of Nursing is proud to have Dr. Beeber represent not only our University, but the field of nursing, as well.
