Cockroft Receives North Carolina Public Health Association Margaret B. Dolan Award

Congratulations to Dr. Marianne Cockroft on receiving the North Carolina Public Health Association’s Margaret B. Dolan Award at their conference in September.

Named after esteemed public health nurse Margaret B. Dolan, this is one of two annual awards that the Nursing Section for the North Carolina Public Health Association gives for public health nurses in North Carolina. The recipient must have at least ten years of experience in public health nursing and demonstrated commitment to quality nursing care and excellence in PHN Service, as well as leadership and professionalism in providing public health nursing services to community members.

Dr. Cockroft’s award was given to her by Phyllis Rocco, Chief Public Health Nurse, NC Division of Public Health, who refers to Marianne as “Public Health Nurse Extraordinare!”

Congratulations, Dr. Cockroft!
