Durham has been busy in early 2018

Professor Carol Durham’s year is off to a busy start!

She had two presentations at the Society for Simulation IMSH 2018 conference.

One was with a team from UNC Chapel Hill (picture): Change Practice, Develop Policies, and Be Successful in your Institution, with Ashley Kellish, Michele Kimmel, Kim Blasius, and Benny Joyner. The second was with colleagues from other institutions, Sharon Decker and Jill Sanko, on Training Teams in Systems Thinking using Friday Night at the ER.

Additionally, Dr. Durham was involved in work with the Global Network for Simulation in Healthcare (GNSH) to continue developing a toolkit for changing the conversation around simulation. There are resources available to assist in understanding decision makers and also to discuss ROI (return on investment). They are soliciting feedback about the toolkit and also seeking cases where simulation has made a difference in practice and/or education. There are ~ 10 cases available at this time. Please go to http://www.gnsh.org/ and check it out.

Well done, Dr. Durham!
