The UNC School of Nursing is proud to announce that Krystal Pendergraft-Horne, DNP, RN, FNP-C, has been selected to participate in the 2024-2025 Leadership Fundamentals cohort through the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE). This program, designed to foster leadership excellence among academic professionals, will provide Dr. Pendergraft-Horne with essential skills and strategies to further enhance her leadership capabilities within the School of Nursing.
The Leadership Fundamentals program is a year-long initiative that focuses on leadership assessments, key concepts, and the development of specific leadership skills through small-group mentoring and coaching sessions. Participants engage deeply with leadership topics, gaining practical tools and strategies to apply in their professional roles.
Dr. Pendergraft-Horne shared her excitement about joining the program, saying, “As an aspiring leader within the School of Nursing, I am eager to engage with colleagues in the Leadership Fundamentals cohort through the Center for Faculty Excellence. This program’s focus on small-group mentoring and coaching will enhance our capacity to cultivate a curious mindset, build confidence in idea-sharing, and explore various leadership strategies.”
