On August 11, Associate Professor and BBL Director Dr. Patricia Silveyra delivered the keynote lecture at the Gordon Research Seminar on “Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms of Toxicity” in Andover, NH.
At the meeting, Silveyra presented her research studies on “Sex Differences in the Lung Response to Environmental Agents.” She also served as a posted judge and mentor for trainees attending the event.
The Gordon Research Seminar on Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms of Toxicity is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The theme of the 2019 meeting was centered on Mechanisms Governing Sexually Dimorphic Outcomes in Toxicology.
The seminar is held in conjunction with the “Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms of Toxicity” Gordon Research Conference, focused on Integration of Emerging Technologies in Mechanistic and Translational Toxicology. The program highlights innovations and challenges in mechanistic toxicology including the human exposome, big data and quantitative systems modeling, translational medicine and target organ toxicity, microphysiological systems, nuclear receptor targeting, and emerging technologies and alternative methods in risk assessment.
