For the third year in a row, the SON is sponsoring the International Conference on Prevention and Management of Chronic Conditions, which will be held on February 25-27 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The meeting is designed to enhance knowledge and medical practice surrounding the management of chronic conditions at the national and international level. Hosted by Ramathibodi School of Nursing at Mahidol University, the organizers will bring together a wide range of chronic-care experts from around the globe.
Associate Dean for Strategic and Global Initiatives Gwen Sherwood, PhD, RN, FAAN, and professor Diane Berry, PhD, ANP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, were selected as keynote speakers for the conference. Dr. Sherwood will present a talk on improving health outcomes on a global level. Dr. Berry will share her expertise on self- and family-management of obesity and diabetes. Interim Dean Donna Havens, PhD, RN, FAAN, also plans to attend on behalf of the SON.
