Thompson Named NCNA Consultant to NCANS

Clinical Assistant Professor Nancy Jo Thompson was recently appointed by the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA) Board of Directors to serve a 2-year term as a consultant to the North Carolina Association of Nursing Students (NCANS). While serving, Thompson will support NCANS involvement in the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) and mentor/advise transitions from nursing student (and NCANS member) to professional nurse (NCNA member). Thompson will also communicate and collaborate with schools of nursing across the state of NC in support of NCANS membership.

Two of her undergraduate mentees were recently elected to the NCANS Executive Board.
