Health disparities persist across racial and ethnic groups in North Carolina and nationwide. School of Nursing faculty collaborate with community partners to understand and address the factors contributing to these inequalities and promote equitable care for all.
In their research, faculty engage with members of Black, Latinx, American Indian, rural, and low-income communities. Together with these partners, our researchers co-design and test interventions to promote health equity in cancer prevention and control, HIV infection, cardiovascular disease, and maternal and child health.
